I gotta say, I LOVE the new album. When I first heard a few of the tracks off CDG official site, I was a bit hesitant... but after hearing the album a few times, I'm in love. Great song writing and some good solid guitar playing. A complete departure from the direction of Blue Velocity (which borders on blues-metal) and back to some familiar and some new ground. I have to say the only odd thing is the extended versions of the 2 tracks at the end. I'd much rather them not put the short versions on and replace them with the long versions...having both is weird...I end up skipping the short versions on the cd player when I'm listening, so I've now copied my own CD-r, replacing the short with the long. But, since it's the first time Chris has released a new album within a YEAR of the last one, I won't complain He could it again next year and I wouldn't complain

Oh..while I love the audio, the artwork on the album sucks hard. Chris, get some quality control!! That Frankenstein caked-on makeup job is horrid.

I didn't care for it as much as the other albums at first listen, but it has really grown on me. The more I listen, the more I like it.

I love the new CD. It has really grown on me. I drive about 100 miles each weekend to go see my mother, who is in the hospital, and this CD gets me there! The bonus tracks make you close your eyes and "see" him playing. I've been to a dozen of his concerts, and I've yet to not be worn out. The guy gives his all each and every night! I do have a question though. Why does he hire a new band for each album? He seems to get along with everyone he's played with, etc. Then again, he seems to get along with everybody, because he's such a great guy...

I was a litle late to the Chris Duarte party so have been slowly building up CDs of his. I still am so blown away by Tailspin Headwhack and Texas Sugar I'm leaving Romp (the last one I ordered) in the shrink wrap until I get enough of the other two. So far I haven't. They just blow my doors off.

I like Vantage Point a lot, mainly due to the mix by Mike Varney. He did another good job of capturing Chris' tone and vocals, plus Chris's singing is spot-on. It's an album that grows on you with each listening. I must say though, being a graphic designer myself, the artwork on the album BLOWS!
