During his tenure at Columbia Records, Miles Davis recorded an awe-inspiring 52 albums. Pretty soon, you'll be able to own all of them in one gigantic box.
On November 10, Columbia/Legacy will release The Complete Columbia Album Collection. The box will include (seriously) 70 CDs and one DVD.
The DVD is Live in Europe '67, which will be on DVD for the first time ever with this set. The set will also include a previously unreleased live recording of Davis's performance at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. According to Legacy, the CDs will all come in "Japanese-styled mini LP jackets". The CDs will include bonus tracks that have been tacked on to Davis reissues over the years. There will also be a 250-page book.
The whole massive brick of a thing will be available exclusively from Amazon, and it'll run you $369.98.

The Black Keys recorded 16 songs in 10 days last August at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios. The new album is scheduled to be released in April 2010.
Here's an excerpt from a recent interview with Dan Auerbach.
Q. When will you be recording the next official Black Keys album? A. We’ve already finished it. We went down to Muscle Shoals, Ala., and recorded an album about four months ago. We produced it ourselves along with Mark Neill, who is a super-talented, old-school engineer producer.
Q. Were you wanting to get a Muscle Shoals vibe for the record? A. To be honest, we could have gone anywhere and made this record. We just wanted to get out of town and be isolated. And we were literally going crazy because it was so boring there. You couldn’t even go get a cup of coffee.
Q. How does the new record compare to “Attack and Release”? A. I’d say it’s more experimental and more song-oriented but definitely forward-thinking. We’re not trying to re-create old times or anything like that.
Q. And when can I buy it? A. Late April. At least that’s the plan.
