One of the best concerts I've been to. Back Door Slam is a great up and coming band and Gov't Mule blew me away. Saw them on the 16th. Great 45 min. set from Back Door Slam. Mule started at 7:15, played an hour and a half, took a 15 min. break and played for another 1 and 1/2 hours.....outstanding freakin' show! I have not seen Back Door Slam but love their music. Their version of Cream's "Outside Woman Blues" is worth the price of the CD. Gov't Mule has also been a long time favorite.

I'd love to see that lineup. Gov't Mule doesn't tour as much as I'd like, especially to my part of the country (Oklahoma). Obviously, Warren Haynes has many other projects and gigs with his other bands to just don't allow for a huge Mule tour. I had no idea they were touring with Back Door Slam. That would be a great show. Hey, there's another band you'd like down in Texas called "46", which remind me of Backdoor Slam. Check them out on myspace, etc.....
